What We Do

 

How do you provide opportunities for people of all ages to have meaningful connections with community members and share their stories? How do you transform people’s views about aging and remove the stigma? Inspired by TimeSlips - a story creation process that replaces the pressure to remember with the freedom to imagine -The Imagination Network brings older adults (many living with the experience of dementia) together with artists and community members to co-create powerful and inspiring works of art.

why are we doing this?

Our Purpose

Advocacy

Our team and our participants feel strongly about advocating for the unique needs and illuminating the perspectives of older adults living in the community and care homes.

mental health

Many older adults face stigma and isolation: creative engagement, socializing, and contributing in a meaningful way can have a huge impact on participants mental health.

shift perspectives

We believe this work can profoundly impact the way others perceive older adults by elevating their strengths and providing an avenue to express their experience.

provide a model

We are a group of collaborators with vastly different backgrounds and approaches. By sharing our trials and our victories, we hope to pave the way for others inspired to do similar work in their communities.
